About the Team

Our mission team is made up of thirty-five high-school students and adults from seven different churches in Bulloch and Screven counties. This group has been making plans for this trip since last summer.

Dr. Joe and Rev. Carol Morgan have been working for months to plan a multi-church youth mission trip to the Grand Bahamas. Rev. Carol is the Associate Minister of the FUMC Statesboro, and has years of experience with working with youth groups. Dr. Joe Morgan is a family physician, and has led several medical mission teams (Honduras & Brazil). They worked together to lead a large youth team to Kentucky in the summer of 2005.

The vision for this trip has been endorsed by the UM Statesboro District Mission Committee and our District Superintendent. Arrangements for this youth mission team have been made through Island Encounters, a non-profit organization that has worked with many youth mission teams in the past years and have an excellent reputation for their work.

Please keep our team in your prayers as we go to serve the people of the Bahamas in God's name.
